Busy, Busy August…..Yikes! · July 28, 2008
Hello everyone. The month of August is very busy for me and Ed Vadas. Next week we zoom south to Floridas for 8 gigs….Saint Augustine to Key West. Yes, we are driving….OMG…..yes, the air conditioner works…..yes, we will survive to return north. Do not Fear! The week we return we’ll be back in the area at Mocha Maya’s in Shelburne Falls and the Dreamaway the following week. I also have a couple of gigs of a different type….I’ll be playing with Jon Weeks jazz group at Johnny’s in South Hadley and a solo gig in Springfield….YES…SOLO! Check the Gigs page for more details. Many of you have busy schedules as the month of August nears its end, BUT, if you have the chance to stop by and see me I would very much love that! Thanks again to everyone who came out for the P.A.C.E show in Easthampton, July 19. It was a special night and everyone had a great time!
Have a great summer everyone! I’ll return to blogging at the end of August!
MUCH NEEDED UPDATE!!! · March 2, 2008
Hello Everyone ~ A Much Needed Update!
Ok. So I stink at “blogging” and keeping in touch on the web. Been busy playing and teaching as usual. My rock band, Superkart, has been on hold for some time now. However, don’t give up on us yet:) There is “recording” in process but life has tons of pitfalls and sidetrips as you all know.
Currently I’m wicked busy working with Ed Vadas in our new duo “Ameri-mf-cana”. You will definitely want to check us out sometime. We are fun and we love the music we’re doing. It is a guaranteed good time with great music. We have lots of dates coming up this spring so check out my gigs page. We can also be found on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/amerimfcana and we have our very own website: http://www.ameri-mf-cana.com
Teaching-wise I’m busy as usual. Lots of students at the Community Music School of Springfield. I’m still dragging my a** down to Wesleyan University once a week and I have some very new and awesome private students at my home studio in Northampton.
For those of you who know my constant furrball companions, Kasa and Squeaky, they continue to take excellent care of me. The three of us are patiently waiting for spring and the return to our porch/patio and spring gardening.
For those of you out there who I’ve fallen out of touch with, my apologies. If you stumble across this blog do not hesitate to email me and give me a “good chewing-out” as my ma in PA would say. thanks so much….be back sometime soon…I hope:)
The Elevens Show, June 22 · June 25, 2007
Last Friday at The Elevens Superkart kicked serious a–! Great show, great time. The band was great. Thanks to all who showed to hoot and holler us on! Also, thanks to my great band–Jim, Keith and Ron.
SUPERKART THIS FRIDAY NIGHT! · June 19, 2007
If you are a SUPERKART fan get yourself to this show! We have a couple of new twists–Jim Weeks is no longer playing bass. He is now doing guitar, harmonica and back-up vocals. You gotta check him out! Also, we have a spankin’ brand new bass player to break in. His name is Ron Burati and he’s been on the local music scene for years. He’s a killer guitar player but has traded in his chops for some solid “get-down” bass jammin’ with the ‘Kart. Of course the one and only Keith Levereault is on the skins and yours truly doin’ her usual thing. So , it’s THIS FRIDAY night, June 22 at The Elevens in Northampton. Preceding us will be Whiskey Ina at 7pm, King Radio at 8pm and we’ll go on @9pm. This is a great music line-up. A lot of valley favorite musicians will be on hand! Come out and support the whole lot of us. Unfortunately The Elevens is a 21+ venue. There will be some type of cover, perhaps $6-$8. It will be great to see alot of music friends!
Hooray! Welcome to my new site… · June 10, 2007
Hello to all my supporters out there! Thanks for coming by to see my new site. Please feel free to post your comments and thoughts on this page. Everyone is welcome! So check out my Gigs page regularly and drop me a line. It will be great to hear from you!
